Description of Ghost Harbor

I have driven around Lake Superior a couple times.  As with many folks from the Cincinnati area, the Great Lakes are an amazing natural wonder that is very accessible by car.  Generally the air is clearer and cleaner and cooler; and there is always the presence of a strong fresh breeze. My family always finds invigorating to soul and spirit.

The old abandoned fishing docks, tales of shipwrecks, and remnants of a world long passed can be found in many places on all the lakes: it is definitely mysterious and intriguing to think of those times while vacationing there.

This simple motif is an homage to that feeling, hints of a ship or two, the odd surviving posts and boards… and the clear bright evening sky.  This is a large work 75×81.
